Legal Malpractice

LAWSUITS AGAINST AND ATTORNEYS AND LAW FIRMS

“Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it.”
― Salvador Dali

Attorney Dimmerman has experience pursuing other attorneys for significant errors committed during the course of their representation. Naturally, we all make mistakes: that is a certainty. However, in the context of legal representation, a sizable error can undermine a client's claim or defense altogether. For instance, statutes of limitation are critical and vary depending upon the nature of the claim. Thus, filing an otherwise strong lawsuit too late will likely result in the outright dismissal of the litigation. In that instance, a legal malpractice suit would be supported, to permit that litigant to recover the underlying damages. However, it is imperative that a client report the error as expeditiously as possible: the claim against the attorney ripens at the time of the error and not at the expiration of the representation.
